In years, (two years back actually), and this early months in 2007, according to research, techniques, methods, by reading more books, articles, listen to more audio book and others, I can say that I am shifting the way I am thinking. And thats also the reason why I build up this blog.

Few of my friends, also go through the same process. They all show improvements in life. But, the chart stop somewhere. It undergo decreases in improvement, and slowly stop. Why? I asked myself that question long time ago. And today I ask myself again, during walking in the middle of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).

And I sat on a bench in Kinokuniya, starring at this book that I hold. Its one of the top motivational books I can suggest, and I keep asking why. If the motivators from all over the world, have created a great principles, proven principles, have revelead the most successful methods in achieving success, then why it did not bring us a permanent, total change in our daily life?

We read books, we read blogs, we read articles, we talk to people who could inspire our own self. We become very attracted to those boombastic methods, stories. That was good. The chart goes up consistently. But slowly it decreases.

For example, every day people came here, to this blog, read more and more new inspiring articles that I could give, which lead you to positive thinking, goal setting, mind-shifting, etc; and at the end of few months, slowly they get back to the starting line! Oh!

I keep thinking and think more. I said to myself, I wont go home today, if I didnt get the answer. Because I knew the answer is right in front of me.

At last, in the evening, I came out with this solution. Read it slowly and carefully:

  1. Lots of writers are in the right track. Most of them look very honest, care - they want to give the very best solution for people. Thats what I do.
  2. If you follow thier advices, you probably, and I can garuantee you will succeed.
  3. If you stop practising it, usually you will loose the power! Not even one single techniques will maintain your success moment, without a solid practising.

You want to know why?I tell you why.

People need motivation. Everybody need motivation. Even me myself!

But, nobody can motivate you!

‘Urgh!!What does that mean?I am here for your advice, and you told me nobody could motivate me?’

Yes its true. Only you can consistantly motivate yourself. I am here as a guide. I give guides, I give advices, but you still have to consistantly, coach yourself. Train yourself and start to build up a new, solid and perfect habit!

‘But how?’

I will talk about that later. Its enough if you really understand that, only you can motivate yourself the most. :)

Ever begin doing something that you do for a few days, and then simply stop doing it?

For example, let’s say you promised yourself that you were going to file papers immediately before they got out of hand, but then something else came up, and the next thing you knew, you had another pile of papers that needed to be filed.

Or perhaps, on January 1 you made a vow to yourself to exercise for 20 minutes every day. You exercised for a few days. But then, by January 5, you gave up.

This happens to everyone on one occasion or another. But, you really can start getting things done!

Next time you really want to do something, and you want to actually start and continue doing it, realize that doing it for one, two, or even three days in a row is usually not enough.

It takes at least 21 days to form a habit. This means that you have to do something at least 21 times before it begins to become part of your everyday routine.

SO
Decide exactly what you want to do. Write it down and post it where you can see it every day, like your bathroom mirror. Be as specific as possible.

Schedule time to do what you want to do. Again, it takes 21 days to form a habit, so schedule at least 21 days on your calendar and don’t let anything get in the way of your schedule. If you miss one of your scheduled days, it’s best to start over and schedule another 21 days. You must be consistent and dedicated to doing what you want to do.

Once you reach your 21 days, congratulations! Don’t stop now though, schedule another 21 days, and then another and so on, until you do what you want to do, without even thinking about it . . . like brushing your teeth.

Hello readers! I am back again. How about two post a day?

As I promised you yesterday, I will write about two more ideas to help you setting your goals.

Here it is :

The Three Most Important Things
Decide on three things that you want to achieve before you die. Then work backwards listing three things you want in the next twenty years, ten years, five years, this year, this month, this week and finally. the three most important things you want to accomplish today.

Ask Yourself Good Questions
As you think about your goals, instead of WISHING for them to come true, as kyourself HOW ad WHAT CAN YOU DO to make them came true. The subconcius mind will respond t your questions far greater than just making statements or making wishes.

Its not only your wishes. Do whatever, however you may choose to do your goal setting, please choose it. I’d like to see more successful people! And you are one of them if you start now.

6 more ideas left. But I really hope you have try the first two!

Stress! Again and again. Stop it. Stop that feeling.

Live longer, live healthier by maximizing your self-talk.

What is self-talk?

In short, self-talk is the endless stream of thoughts that run through your head every-day. It can be positive or negative thoughts.

When you think negatively, you own mispreceptions, lack of information and distorted ideas have overpowered your capacity for logic and reason.

But if you weed out misconceptions and irrational thinking and challenge them with positive thinking, your self-talk will gradually become realistic and self-affirming.

Few of us, do think negatively. How does it sounds like? Some common form of irrational thiking are :

Personalizing
When something bad occurs, you automatically blame yourself. For example, you hear that an evening out with friend is canceled and you ASUME that the change in plans because no one wanted to be around you.

Polarizing
You see things only as either good or bad, or balck and white. There is no middle ground. YOu think that you have to be perfect or you are a total failure. That was not true!

GOOD NEWS!

YOu can learn to turn negative thoughts to ositive ones. The process is simple but it takes time and practice.

Start by following this simple rule :

‘Dont say anything to yourself that you wouldt say to anyone else’

This is few examples how you could spin your thoughts

  • Negative self-talk
  1. Its too complicated
  2. I dont have enough time
  3. I am never going to learn how to manage my stress
  • Positive Spin
  1. Lets look at it from a different angle
  2. Let re-evaluate some priorities
  3. I am going to try to learn how to manage my stress
Practicing positive talk will improve your outlook. Whne you state of mind is generally optimistic, you are able to handle everyday stress in a realistic and construcitve way.

Writing goals is the first step to make the goals more real. Somehow having things in writing really makes them seem more important to most people.

I am completely sure that all of you, already read about goal setting. Few already took thier pen and paper, trying to write down thier goals. Few also, stuck there. Dont know what to write. Just dont know what they want.

Dont give up. Do you know WHY 97% of population FAIL to achieve a thier goal?

They fail on ly for one reason : They don’t know how to set goals.

Some of you might also realize this. Or maybe some of you really stuck in this trap. Dont worry anymore. I will share with you, 10 tips on how to make a move and start to write down your goals.

Early, I would love to give this 10 tips in one short article. But back then, I am completely sure, only few of you will take note regarding this. So I decide, I will write two tips each, every single day.

And here it goes :

Make a list of your values
What’s is really important to you? You family? Your leisure time? Your hobbies? Decide on what your most important values in life and then make sure that the goals you set are designed to include and enhance them.

Project yourself into the future
The late, Earl Nighttingale created a whole new industry (self improvement) after 20 years study on what made people successful. The bottom-line result of his research was simply : ‘We Become What We Think About’.

Whatever thoughts dominate our minds most of the time are what we become. Thats why goals setting is so critical in achieving success beacuse it keeps us focused on whats really important to us. He then said that the easiest way to reach our goals is to pretendthat we had already achieved our goals.

That is , begin to walk, talk and act as tough we are already experiencing the success wee seek. Then those things will come to us naturally through the power of the subconcius mind.

Well, there it is. Tips from me to help you understand better on how to kick start-writing you goals. Grab your pen and paper right now. Start writing!
